| ends where they are located on that part of the shifter. Then take some scotch tape and wrap it one time around. This will hold everything together on the end of the shifter body. In order to line up the shifter fork w/ the shifter bearing shaft I used a golf tee. As you know you are pretty much restricted to using one hand. So first fit the bearing shafter (w/ the two washers taped together) into the fork. Then get the golf tee, or something similarly pointed and tapered, and punch through the tape. This should locate the holes on the fork w/ the hole through the bearing shaft. After that, gently push the bolt through and you should be able to finger tight a nut on the other end. I used a castle nylon lock nut. These are pretty good at holding and not working loose. I think the Z1 supplied lock washer and flat nut will put too much squeeze on the fork and cause that joint to be stiff. gordo
